About Us

The Sugar Nutrition Resource Centre is a scientific information service. Founded in 2002 as the Sugar Research Advisory Service, it aims to provide evidence-based information on the role of sugars in nutrition and health.

We are funded by Sugar Australia and New Zealand Sugar. This website is managed by a team of qualified nutrition professionals that include Accredited Practising Dietitians and Registered Dietitians from Australia and New Zealand. These nutrition professionals are employed by Sugar Australia and New Zealand Sugar.

The information we provide includes:

  • The website
  • Resource materials
  • Updates on new research

Our information is independently reviewed by a group of scientific experts who are experienced in human nutrition, dietetics and food science. These experts receive funding from Sugar Australia and New Zealand Sugar for their time related to provision of evidence-based counsel.
